ALL East Power Rankings - Week 8

The Arena Lacrosse League East Power Rankings  - Week 8.

1. Whitby Steelhawks (7-0)

Another week and two more victories to stay undefeated.   Both games were hard fought, with game two needing a big three goal run at the end to tie it, then an overtime winner from Matthew Boissonneault to win it!  Great teams find ways to win no matter what, and this is a great team!

2. Peterborough Timbermen (5-2)

The Timbermen had a decent weekend going 1-1.   The big news is they were able to go stride for stride with the undefeated Whitby Steelhawks in the 17-14 loss.  When they faced the Ohsweken Bears, they were able to show how dominant they could be for the majority of the game.  This is a very good team, and the league now knows this!

3. Brampton Express (4-3)

After a couple of heartbreaking losses, the Express has come back the last two weeks dominating their opponents.  Up 9-0 after one quarter, the Express showed how controlling they could be.  Can they ride these powerful performances to a long run in the playoffs?

4. Paris RiverWolves (4-3)

Four wins in a row, and undefeated in 2025, this team is becoming a real force in the league.  Matt Duncan and Kaymen Diabo have led a strong offense through the streak.  They have put the league on notice they are for real.

5. Toronto Monarchs (3-4)

The last few weeks haven't been kind to the Monarchs with three losses in a row.   However, two of the losses have been just one goal defeats to top teams.  I have no doubt they will find a way to get back in the winners circle soon.

6. Six Nations Snipers (3-4)

The Snipers, who have been solid all year, have had a couple of rough weeks lately.  A positive to take away is their "no quit" attitude.  The second half of the game vs. Brampton showed the team has a lot of heart.

7. Oshawa Outlaws (2-5)

Last week the Outlaws played their best game of the year, and this week they also played well enough to win.  Up 16-14 with only a few minutes left, the team needs to be able to close these games out.  They can't give up three goals in the last three minutes if they want to be relevant in the playoffs.

8. Ohsweken Bears (0-7)

Another good start, but one quarter that sinks them.  In this week's game, the Bears looked quite good in the first.  The second quarter was a different story.  Giving up eight goals, including three shorthanded goals in a row is recipe for disaster.  A bright spot is the play of Eddie Renaud, who again was a big part of the Bears offense.
