ALL East Power Rankings - Week 10
A fair amount of activity this week in the Arena Lacrosse League East Power Rankings - Week 10.
1. Brampton Express (6-3)
A sound thrashing given to the undefeated Whitby Steelhawks has thrust the Express to the top of the rankings this week. A spectacular team effort with Jake McNabb (4g,6a), Curtis Ward (3g 3a), and Austin Hasen (4g,1a) leading an attack that saw thirteen different scorers on the day. Dylan Sprentz was fantastic frustrating the Whitby Shooters all game long.
2. Whitby Steelhawks (8-1)
The Steelhawks have been playing such high callibre lacrosse for so long, they were do for an off night. Down 14-5 at the half, this team kept battling all evening. Every team faces adversity, and I think this will be good for them in the long run of the season. Look for them to regain their top position quickly.
3. Paris RiverWolves (6-3)
Now it's a six game winning streak, this team just keeps rolling. This week's victory was over a depleted Ohsweken Bears lineup, who was missing their starting goalie Craig Wende. Luke Robinson and Marley Angus have found their stride leading the RiverWolves charge during this winning streak.
4. Toronto Monarchs (4-5)
The Monarchs are generating a lot of offense. This game had Toronto with 62 shots on net. Getting production from everywhere, Toronto was able to control the game en route to a 16-12 victory. Parker Pipher and Tanner Buck led the way with a combined 15 points.
5. Peterborough Timbermen (5-4)
In the last four weeks, the Timbermen have only come away with one victory, and that was against 1-8 Ohsweken. This team has been close on many of their defeats, but need to find a way to get over the hump if they want to make noise in the playoffs.
6. Oshawa Outlaws (3-6)
The trade for Taite Cattoni paid immediate dividends with him getting four goals on the afternoon. For them to move up, as well as put together a win streak, the Outlaws will need to work on their defense. Oshawa needs to curtail six goal runs that almost spoiled an excellent effort.
7. Six Nations Snipers (3-6)
A slow start had the Snipers fall behind yet again. While they played well in three of the four quarters, they spent the majority of the game chasing the Monarchs. If they could get rolling quicker, it would pay big dividends in their moving up in the rankings.
8. Ohsweken Bears (1-8)
Eddie Renaud had another good week, but he didn't get much support from the rest of the offense. Sam Forbes did a good job in net on short notice, but is going to need the Bears defense to step up and help out.
