ALL East Game Recaps - Week 9
A full slate of four games this week in the Arena Lacrosse League East.
Friday night At the Memorial Arena in Brampton, Ontario
Peterborough Timbermen 13 Brampton Express 16
An evenly played game that saw it tied on ten seperate occasions. Down one goal with just over six minutes to go in the game, the Express put together a four goal run in 2:10 led by Gavin Thibeault's hat-trick to take a 15-12 lead. The teams traded one more goal each, but the Express came away with the 16-13 victory.
Brampton's offense was led by Jacob Janke (3g,3a), Pent Eistrat (2g,3a), and Gavin Thibeault (4g,0a) with Zach Sunderland (1g,7a) and Curtis Ward (1g,6a) as the playmakers.
The Timbermen were led by Fred Hartley (3g,3a), Jack McAlpine (2g,3a), Taite Cattoni (2g,3a), and Aaron Woods (3g,1a), with Cam Milligan (0g,5a) as the playmaker.

Saturday at the Children's Arena in Oshawa, Ontario
Early Game
Six Nations Snipers 8 Whitby Steelhawks 24
The Steelhawks showed how dominant a team they could be, jumping out to an 8-0 lead. The Snipers weren't able to get on the board until almost 20:00 into the game. Although the Snipers scored a pair in the second, the game was already out of reach at the half 13-2. The second half was a little stronger for Six Nations, but Whitby never lost control of this game cruising to a 24-8 victory.
Liam Aston (3g,3a), Owen Orpana (3g,3a), and Devin Pipher (3g,3a) led the way for Whitby, with Luke Keenan (0g,8a) and Landon Sinfield (1g,5a) as the playmakers.
For the Snipers, Tye Argent (2g,0a) led the way with six others adding a single goal.

Late Game
Ohsweken Bears 15 Oshawa Outlaws 11
Ohsweken jumped out to leads of 4-0 and 6-1 never looking back in this game. While the Outlaws played a much stronger second half, they were never able to get any closer than three goals. Craig Wende looked strong in the Bears net turning away many good Outlaws opportunities. Ohsweken finally got that elusive first victory beating Oshawa 15-11.
Braedon Smith (4g,3a) led the way for the Bears, with Jon Perry-Smith (2g,5a), Eddie Renaud (2g 5a), and Josh Sanchez (2g,3a) also having big days.
Josh Gilray (2g 5a), Carter Page (3g 1a), and James Whiteford (3g,1a) led the way for the Outlaws, with John St. John (0g,6a) as the playmaker.

Sunday afternoon at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena in Hagersville, Ontario
Toronto Monarchs 15 Paris RiverWolves 17
The Monarchs got out to a great start leading 4-0, and 6-2 in the first quarter. The RiverWolves got on track in the second bring the game within a goal at the half. Up 12-10 heading into the fourth, Paris put it in another gear scoring seven times to grab a 17-15 come from behind victory.
Kaymen Diabo (5g,6a), Matt Duncan (3g,6a), and Noah Simonelli (3g,2a) led the way for Paris, with Kurtis Woodland (1g,5a) being the playmaker.
Jordan Dance (4g,3a), Parker Pipher (2g,4a) and Lucas Ferreira (2g,2a) led the Monarchs, with Cody Innes (1g,4a) as the playmaker.
