Three games Saturday at the Children's Arena in Oshawa, Ontario

The early game:

Paris RiverWolves 11  Peterborough Timbermen 21

An extremely shortened bench from Paris took it's toll as the game wore on.  A fairly evenly played first quarter had the Timbermen up 3-1 heading into the second quarter.  However, an eight goal second quarter led by Cam Milligan and Aaron Woods broke the game open in favor of Peterborough 11-4 at the half.

While the RiverWolves fought valiantly in the second half led by Caiden Merritt and Kurtis Woodland, it was too steep a hill to climb to get back in the game.  Peterborough wins convincingly 21-11 ending the RiverWolves winning streak at six games.

Cam Milligan (3g,7a), Jack McAlpine (3g,6a), Zach Thompson (2g,5a), Angus Rawding (2g,4a), Fred Hartley (2g,3a), and Aaron Woods (3g,2a) led a balanced attack for the Timbermen.

Tye Argent (2g,5a), Kurtis Woodland (2g,5a), and Caiden Merritt (3g,1a) led the charge for Paris.

The Three Stars:

Evening Game

Six Nations Snipers 13  Oshawa Outlaws 14

The Snipers jumped out to 4-0, 6-1 and 7-2 leads in the first half, controlling the game for the majority of the half.  Shots on goal were 36-23 in favor of the Snipers in the half, with both goalies looking quite sharp.

The second half saw the Outlaws get on track scoring seven of eight goals to take their first lead of the day 2:46 into the fourth quarter.  The Snipers continued to fight, going ahead 13-12 with 10:16 remaining in the game.  Taite Cattoni was able to tie the game 0:28 seconds later setting the stage for an exciting finish.

Oshawa continued to pepper Dusty Hill with shots in the second half (36 second half shots).  Hill was superb keeping the Snipers in a tie game.  With 2:56 remaining, John St. John converted a Nick Andreoli feed to give Oshawa the lead.  Six Nations tried to get the trying goal, but Laine Hruska was exceptional down the stretch to preserve the 14-13 victory.

Taite Cattoni (3g,5a), Nick Andreoli (2g,3a), Alec Simons (3g,2a), and Josh Gilray (2g,2a) led the way for the Outlaws, with John St. John (2g,6a) as the playmaker.

Thunder Hill (2g,2a), Mitch Zulian (2g,1a), and Ross Hill (3g,0a) led the offense for Six Nations, with Jaden Patterson (1g,3a) as the playmaker.
