ALL East Game Recaps - Week 10
A full slate of four games this week in the Arena Lacrosse League East.
Friday night At the Memorial Arena in Brampton, Ontario
Whitby Steelhawks 14 Brampton Express 24
The majority of the first quarter was played evenly, with the teams tied 2-2 10:00 into the game. Then the wheels fell off for the Steelhawks. Two seperate five goal runs, led by Austin Hasen, Jake McNabb, and Curtis Ward, had the Express up 14-5 at the half. While the second half saw a lot of end to end action, the damage was already done with Brampton soundly giving Whitby their first defeat of the year 24-14.
Curtis Ward (4g,3a), Jake McNabb (4g,2a), and Austin Hasen (4g,2a) led the scoring for Brampton, with Jacob Janke (1g,6a) and Pent Eistrat (1g,4a) as the playmakers.
Devin Pipher (3g,6a), Nate Woods (2g,2a), Owen Orpana (3g,1a) and Luke Keenan (2g,1a) headed the offense for Whitby, with Liam Osbourne (1g,4a) as the playmaker.

Saturday Afternoon at the Children's Arena in Oshawa, Ontario
Oshawa Outlaws 18 Peterborough Timbermen 14
A game where Oshawa took control from the start jumping out to a 6-2 first quarter lead. The Timbermen got down as far as 9-3 before mounting a comeback. Led by Cam Milligan, Peterborough got on a six goal run to tie the game early in the third. The Outlaws got back on track in the fourth with a four goal run, but the Timbermen kept fighting to get within two goals. John St. John and Gareth Haigh scored late for the Outlaws who outlasted Peterborough 18-14 in this highly entertaining game.
John St. John (3g,5a), Taite Cattoni (4g,4a), and Gareth Haigh (4g,3a) led the Outlaws attack.
Cam Milligan (3g,6a), Jack McAlpine (3g,3a), and Aaron Woods (2g,4a) led the Timbermen's offense.

Saturday Afternoon at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre in Oakville, Ontario
Six Nations Snipers 12 Toronto Monarchs 16
Although Six Nations scored first, Toronto took control of the game early. Up 6-2 the Monarchs continued to keep the flow of the game. The Snipers tried valiantly to get back in the game, but Toronto had answers every time Six Nations got rolling. The Toronto Monarchs got back to their winning ways with an 16-12 victory.
Parker Pipher (4g,4a) and Tanner Buck (5g,2a) led the Monarchs attack. Joel Watson was superb in net making 38 saves.
The Six Nations Snipers put a well balanced attack with ten seperate scorers in the game. The duo of Dusty Hill and Jaxon Longboat played well facing 62 shots in the loss.

Sunday at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena in Hagersville, Ontario
Paris RiverWolves 13 Ohsweken Bears 8
An evenly played first half had the teams tied 4-4 at the intermission. Paris was able to find another gear in the third quarter scoring five of the next six goals to take control of the game. Luke Robinson led the charge for Paris scoring four second half goals for the 13-8 victory.
Luke Robinson (5g,6a), Caiden Merritt (4g,1a), Marley Angus (3g,2a), and Drake Smith (1g,2a) Did the scoring for the RiverWolves. Noah Simonelli (0g,7a) was the playmaker.
Eddie Renaud (3g,1a) led the offense for the Bears, with John Harrington (2g,0a) and Steven Portelli (1g,3a) being the supporting cast.
